Our Time Our History
January 24, 2026 Our Time Our History series with Kathy Smith. Kathy will present stories about cowboy poetry and cowboy gatherings about people who worked and lived on the Diamond Bar Ranch in Mohave County. Kathy enjoys reciting cowboy poetry written by some famous cowboys and some of her own.
February 28, 2026 Our Time Our History series with Carrie Cannon. Carrie is an “expert” on turquoise. Carrie has enjoyed bringing her presentation to Kingman many times. This year she is happy to tell us more about turquoise and the six continents it comes from.
March 28, 2026 Our Time Our History series with Jim Hinckley. Kingman: Crossroads of the Past & Future. Long known as a dusty desert crossroads on Route 66, Kingman is full of surprises. In this lively, fast-paced program, author and historian Jim Hinckley shares the story of western Arizona road trips, how Route 66 shaped Kingman, and how Kingman influenced the Mother Road in return.
