London Bridge is in Lake Havasu City, situated on the eastern shore of Lake Havasu of the Colorado River. The City was established in 1963 by Robert McCulloch. McCulloch purchased the London Bridge for $2,460,000 and moved it to Lake Havasu City. Reconstructing London Bridge in the middle of a desert cost an additional $7 million. London Bridge opened in October 1971 with an English Village replication built next to it. It is now the second most visited site in Arizona, next only to the Grand Canyon.
