Day of Caring

Day of Caring invites volunteers of all ages to come together to help improve the community we all call home. This spring, 42 volunteers joined United Way to work diligently, collecting 67 bags of trash in helping to improve the spaces we share every day. This also includes an additional 9 tons of trash collected at the container drop sites placed throughout the city with the support of Kingman Solid Waste Department and the Clean City Commission. It’s part of United Way’s year-round efforts to mobilize communities to action so all can thrive. "For 10 years, Day of Caring has shown what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Every volunteer who shows up demonstrates their commitment to making Kingman a cleaner, stronger place to live. This year, our goal is simple: double our volunteer turnout and double our impact. Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, your participation matters. Together, we can accomplish far more than any one person or organization can alone." River Cities United Way is coordinating meaningful volunteer activities centered on community clean-up efforts, community support, and beautification projects. These efforts are part of River Cities United Way mission to positively influence community resiliency, healthy communities and give youth an opportunity to be part of something bigger. Through Day of Caring, and all year long, River Cities United Way is working to ensure that our communities remain clean, connected, and supported by mobilizing volunteers to address local needs, strengthen neighborhoods, and inspire a culture of service.
