International Peace Day

We are fast approaching the last 100 days of the countdown to September 21, 2019! This will be the third year that Kingman will proudly recognize and proclaim the message of peace as designated through the United Nations International Day of Peace (IDOP).

Mark your calendar now and reserve the time to promote peace! This peace rally will be held at Lewis Kingman Park which is the dog park on Andy Devine. IDOP is an opportunity for likeminded people to mingle who believe that peace, not war, is the best possible alternative to resolving disputes.

A Buddhist from the Kingman community will be the keynote speaker. This event features an open mic for brief comments about peace, children are invited to read something they wrote on the meaning of peace, playing of sixties peace music, for the kids plus young at heart - there will be face painting, and whatever else the planning committee comes up with.

Join other peace enthusiasts 9/21/19 from 11-1, hopefully after the extreme hot summer weather has passed, to fortify your belief that is peace is important! Bring your peaceful thoughts, lawn chair, your peace signs and a lunch if you want to picnic with peaceful kindred spirits that day in the park:-) For more info go online and search International Day of Peace or call Chris @ 928757-4616 or email: [email protected].
