The shimmer and sparkle of the best of the best firework displays in the Western U.S. will glow over Lake Havasu City for this epic four-day unforgettable firework show.

The shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm each night and are expected to last at least one hour. The largest single show is typically Saturday evening. No one is permitted to leave the event once the shows begin. All shows are weather permitting; there are no refunds. You can read more from https://www.westernpyro.org/events. 

The event is held at Havasu 95 Speedway in SARA Park. 

A visit to Lake Havasu City during President's Weekend is not complete without experiencing Western Pyrotechnic Association's and Lake Havasu City's remarkable showcase. New memories with family and friends will be created as the clear desert sky morphs into a spectacular kaleidoscope of colors in honor of the 34th anniversary of Winter Blast, an event that promises to overwhelm thousands of visitors from around the world with the biggest fireworks display in WPA's and Lake Havasu City's history.

To enter SARA Park: $8/vehicle/day - cash only, please bring $1 bills to speed transactions (there is no limit on the quanitity of people allowed in the vehicle, trucks are allowed). Event staff will direct vehicles and trucks to parking. Parking opens at noon on Thu and Sun and at 10am on Fri and Sat. There is limited handicap accessible parking that is first-come first-serve; once full, general parking is possible as available. Spectators are welcome to bring chairs and to watch outside of their vehicles in the parking areas. RVs are not permitted into the general parking area. RVs are permitted at the rodeo grounds within SARA Park, however, the spaces are sold out for the 2022 show and the rodeo grounds is currently not accepting reservations. For no additional cost, spectators can enjoy the Pyro in the Park spectator area, which includes seating, music, alcohol and food. Spectators are welcome to bring their own seating into the area. The area is elevated and provides excellent viewing. There is no Pyro in the Park on Thursday; Pyro in the Park opens at 3pm on Fri and at noon on Sat and Sun. There are no refunds, no coolers, no alcohol, no firearms, no personal fireworks and no pets allowed.

The best viewing of the fireworks and the ground displays occurs within the Havsu 95 Speedway grandstands. In addition to the SARA Park vehicle entrance, spectators can purchase optional grandstand seating for an additional $8/person/day (children 6 and younger are free with paid adult)  Havasu 95 Speedway has grandstand bleacher seating, with handicapped accessibility, and food/beverage/alcohol vendors. The grandstand gates open at 3pm on Thu and at noon on Fri, Sat and Sun. There are no refunds, no in and outs, no saving or reserving seats, no coolers, no pets, no firearms, no personal fireworks and no alcohol. Blankets are allowed.

The fireworks shows are scheduled to begin at 7:30pm (weather permitting, delays possible); the shows typically last about one hour. No one may leave the park once the show begins. 

No Re-entry: If you leave, you will be required to pay again if parking is available

Where to enter: Enter at the main SARA Park entrance (most southern entrance near Havasu 95 Speedway) off of Hwy. 95 Thursday-Sunday. There will be no entry into SARA Park from Dub Campbell Parkway/S. McCulloch Bl. @ Hwy 95, you must use the main entrance. PARKING FILLS UP FAST, EARLY ARRIVAL IS STRONGLY SUGGESTED. No parking along the shoulders of State Route 95.

There will also be limited parking at the BMX track, but those parking there will not be permitted to walk to the main event area at Havasu 95 Speedway or to Pyro in the Park. Parking will be $8/vehicle/day with parking starting at 4pm onThu through Sun. For more information on BMX track parking only, call 928.412.2094. The track will be hosting its regular schedule throughout the event.

The show will be broadcast to the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds and BMX parking lots through KKRV FM 104.7

Pets & SARA Park Dog Park

Please leave pets at home! The pyrotechnics being displayed are very loud (and startling for their sensitive ears). Please keep this in mind and do not bring your four-legged family members to the event.

General Information & Housekeeping

Book room reservations far in advance because this event is always a sell-out! Check hotel availability by clicking on the LODGING tab in this website.

• Plan for, and expect, delays along State Route 95 near both of SARA Park's entrances during all days of the event.
• Parking fills up fast and early arrival is strongly suggested. Normally the event area is full at least an hour before the event and no additional vehicles are permitted in.
• No parking along shoulders of State Route 95. Vehicles will be ticketed and/or towed.
• No consumer fireworks allowed in the park or parking lots.
• No food or coolers in the event area.
• No easy-ups or tents permitted in parking lot areas.
• Leave car alarms OFF! The fireworks will set car alarms off all night long. 
• No "exit and re-entry."
• No pets allowed.
